Vietnam’s total export turnover of agro-forestry-aquatic products in the first eight months of 2012 is estimated at more than 18.1 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 9.7 percent.

As of August 15, Vietnam had exported 4.52 million tonnes of rice worth US$2.05 billion, according to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA).

Earnings from seafood exports in the last five months of this year will likely reach US$3.1-3.3 billion, raising the total export turnover for the whole year to US$6.5-6.7 billion.
